another great episode!! You are always so spot on. I've been looking into voice acting lately myself and from what I've heard that being kind to your voice is a lot like working out - it's all about the warm up and cool down. It's recommended to do about 20 minutes of "vocal warm ups" and 20 minutes of "vocal cool downs" The mention of the ads of the CK pod reminded me of the "holistic" to "red pill" thing that happened to a lot of white women a while back (think "MAHA" ppl). I was so baffled as to how that could happen but once you follow the pipeline it can be seen. It's just like you said, we need discernment. I will forever work on de-constructing my mind from white "supremacy" and always work on educating my family and friends. Thanks for another great episode and congrats on the voice gig and being jewelry ambassador. I'll check them out as I to have verrry sensitive skin. PS loved the education on the Black Panthers and the school lunch!
another great episode!!! I LOVED "organically queer" that felt so lovely to my ear! I've known I was bi since I was 8. I was watching Casper and I was enthralled by Christina Ricci, and then by Devon Sawa. That was it, I knew it. I didn't know the language of Demi until my early 30s because I'd never heard it named or described but I felt it since I was a child. Loving the podcast. Keep on going! You're amazing!!
Yesssss so glad to hear another podcast episode by you! (Jess here) I’ve been off IG for a bit so had no idea this was out, just saw it today in my podcast library 🎉
Keep doing ya thang!!
Hey lovely!!! I loved this episode on emotional parenting! I definitely concur with your reaction to sweet girl being hit. It’s chilling to experience childhood trauma or memories again through your children. I’ve been in several situations where I had to do the mental work for me, to better advocate for my children. I believe our initial responses or point of views are deeply rooted in our own experiences. In that moment, It takes tremendous effort to override your past trauma in order to respond the most appropriate way possible.
friend this episode is so good. Because it’s tough seeing other kids fuck with our babies. Guh. Thanks for sharing this.
Great episode and as a parent of girls it resonates for certain.
